Description

This is the composition of a topical antifungal mouth paint, containing 1% Clotrimazole (a broad-spectrum antifungal) in a base of Glycerin and Propylene Glycol (IP indicates Indian Pharmacopoeia standards, q.s. means "quantum satis" or sufficient quantity to make up the volume) used to treat oral fungal infections like thrush by inhibiting fungal growth. It's applied locally in the mouth (e.g., 10 drops, 3-4 times daily with a cotton bud) to treat infections, especially in denture wearers or immunocompromised individuals, and shouldn't be swallowed.
